We at SPRTER are always looking to improve the user experience and add value for our users. We already have the next few development rounds lined up and the most recent two builds just went live! So, what’s new?
Clickable links in the bio – Any link that is written in a user’s bio, now automatically become hyperlinked and clickable for any profile visitor. So you can add your affiliate links here to service your sponsors.
URL Links for sporter posts – Any post uploaded by an sporter can now be accompanied by a URL link. A URL can be added during the upload phase and any user who sees the post can click on the link-out icon in the top right-hand corner of the post to get to the added link. So you can add your affiliate links here to service your sponsors. You can also click to say whether the post is a sponsored post or not to show that you are affiliated with any brand you are promoting in the post. Keep in mind that you are legally required by the Federal Trade Commission to clearly indicate when content is sponsored.
Exploratory Tutorial – As there are so many different features and functions in the SPRTER app, we want to make it as easy as possible to understand. So, instead of having a tutorial upfront when you initially login, you can know learn the features of the app as you explore the different areas of the app. If something is still unclear after going through the new tutorial format, you can also revisit the tutorial through the Settings, reach out to us via the Contact Us function or leave a question in the App Help/Feedback Forum (both of which can also be found in the settings).
Updated feeds – The feeds have now been tweaked so that posts you haven’t high fived, commented on or shared appear at the top of your feed in chronological order. As soon as you have interacted with a post and left the feed, the next time you come back and refresh the feed that post will move to the bottom of the feed and fresh content will appear at the top. That way, we can show you fresh content or content you may have missed previously.
Athlete Leaderboard Update – To increase exposure for sporters, the Featured SPRTER can no longer be displayed in the preview picture on the Stadium screen. The highest ranked sporter (sports influencer: athlete, former athlete, coach, agent, team league, brand) who isn’t the Featured SPRTER will now be displayed on the Sporter Leaderboard on the Stadium screen.
Handles – Every user must now choose a unique user handle when they sign up for the app. This will enable users to tag one another in posts and comments. Make sure to save your username.
Tagging – This is something we are very excited about. In order to make the app more engaging, you can now tag other users in the caption of a post to include them in the post or in a comment to share that post with them. This makes it easier for content to be shared within the SPRTER community.
Swiping Right – Now, when you swipe right on a post in the SPRTER Discovery, it will automatically high five (like) the post and also follow that user. That user’s content will then appear in the feed.
In addition to these features, we have also ironed out some bugs. However, we aren’t perfect, so if you come across anything while using the app, please let us know! You can send the SPRTER account on the app a message or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are excited by the progress of the SPRTER platform and we are always looking to make it better. If you haven’t yet downloaded the app, make sure to check it out below!
