We had the opportunity to get to know Amobi a little better.

What is your biggest sporting accomplishment?

I would have to say making my first professional debut with Philadelphia Union after getting drafted from UCLA. It was always my dream going up and that was the moment it all came true.

Do you have any words of advice to aspiring athletes?

I have a quote that I try to live by and I think it is applicable to almost all aspects of life, “All you can do is all you can do and all you can do is enough.”

What is something interesting about you that few people know?

I have never had a sip of coffee.

Who is your sporting idol/someone you looked up to growing up?

Definitely, Michael Jordan. He epitomizes what it means to be a professional athlete.

Who is your favorite artist?

My favorite artist of all time would have to be Tupac Shakur. I grew up listening to him and never stopped. He was hugely inspirational and made some incredible songs.
